While the NZ government has been reducing landline to mobile rates, and we were working on passing the huge savings down to our customers, we came across the article below. It's a very interesting read indeed:

Effective from today, these are a sample of some of our new rates for standard calls to New Zealand mobiles and landlines.
PennySIM
Endless – FREE to both MOBILES and LANDLINES
Go Global – 13.8 cents per minute to MOBILES and 46 cents per call to LANDLINES
Go Local – 13.8 cents per minute to MOBILES and 6 cents per minute to LANDLINES
PennyTel VoIP
Crazy Talk – 10.5 cents per minute to MOBILES and FREE to LANDLINES
Free Access – 10.5 cents per minute to MOBILES and 1.66 cents per minute to LANDLINES
Per minute rates on all other plans will also be dropped to 10.5 cents per minute to MOBILES and 1.66 cents per minute to LANDLINES
From the article, it is quite surprising that the Communications Minister's office is quoting Skype rather than budget Australian VoIP providers such as PennyTel, who in most cases provide a more reliable, feature-packed service.
With our Australian customers, we want to remind you that if you verify your CLIs with us, all your calls to NZ will be CLI-enabled unless you choose otherwise.
Enjoy the savings.
